Bruce Snaddon

Senior Lecturer & CPUT coordinator for World Design Capital 2014

Bruce is a Senior Lecturer in the Graphic Design department in the Faculty of Informatics and Design. He represents his faculty in a number of forums that further the aims of design education that is contextual, meaningful and sustainable in the broader community. He chairs the Cape Town Design Network and currently coordinates the CPUT's World Design Capital efforts. He also serves on the WDC implementation company, Cape Town Design NPC as a board member.

Having qualified with a Bachelors of Commerce with double majors in Information Systems and Management, Munira has developed a passion for Project Management. She has worked in a project management environment for the past 12 years. In recent years she has grown her portfolio by taking on the Marketing and Events planning for the faculty simply because she enjoys the thrill.

Communications Officer
Alice Scott is the assistant to both Munira Allie and Bruce Snaddon and helps with all the ‘background work’ in the ImagineThat* office. Having qualified for her National Diploma in Public Relations from CPUT, she found employment in the Informatics and Design Faculty assisting with school recruitment, PR and events for the faculty. Her previous work experience at a PR consultancy, sparked her love for Social Media PR and ‘all things online’, which she tries to implement into all ImagineThat* projects which cross her path. Alice is currently studying towards her Btech in Public Relations and hopes to write a children’s book in the future.

Researcher, Designer, Imaginator
Dreaming big and connecting the dots between the virtual and real Mishal is the visual and interact work horse behind everything ImagineThat*. Attaining his Btech in Graphic Design he jumped right into the Interaction Design Masters program, while also freelancing in web design, illustration and signage design. ImagineThat* is a live Research Through Design project that forms part of the base of his master thesis:"Creating a platform to facilitate promotion and participation for real-world development, and catalysing it through public events."

Mishal Adam Weston

Dreaming big and connecting the dots between the virtual and real Mishal is the visual and interact work horse behind everything ImagineThat*. Attaining his Btech in Graphic Design he jumped right into the Interaction Design Masters program, while also freelancing in web design, illustration and signage design. ImagineThat* is a live Research Through Design project that forms part of the base of his master thesis:"Creating a platform to facilitate promotion and participation for real-world development, and catalysing it through public events."

IT Co-ordinatorr
Wendal Koopman is the IT Co-ordinator for the Faculty of Informatics and Design and also the Programme Co-ordinator for the Multimedia Technology programme of the Department of Information Technology within the faculty. Wendal serves as technical, strategic and other consultant and assistant for this project. Wendal represents the faculty in a number of institutional forums and is involved in faculty and institutional projects that relate to strategies to support and improve the academic environment. He is also involved with projects relating to digital solutions to faculty and institutional challenges.
